EQ...

so im getting this new half stack in a month or so, had to put it on hold for a little bit because of other money commitments LOL

i have been so impressed with this little EQ gadget i have on one of my other amps that i want to get a big rack mount EQ for my new shiney half stack

can i get some oppinions on the behringer 3102, and the roland eq231, they're both 31band graphic rack mount type ones.

also, does anyone use the rocktron hush super C guitar noise reducer, and what do you lovely people think?

cheers

if its too loud, your too old

gojira is a jewel in the rough
try to find a parametric eq - i find they leave less room for silly shit, and are easier to tweak.

behringer eq's are okay - i used to use one with my 5150 - it cut alot of highend on flat if i can recall - but was pretty good value for money - and worked well.

My parrot will kick your ass

Try to find an ART tube EQ. It's 1/2 rack and cheap. Or... the furman parametric is nice (PEQ-3? - whatever diamond daryl used). I agree with the post above - parametrics work butter, IMO, for guitars. If you want a graphic, the Rane 1 space rack mounts are really nice. Go used, so that you can get something better than the behringer

...that the play is the tragedy, "Man"

I have a Yamaha 1031 Graphic rack EQ. It's 31 bands. It makes a huge difference, I just can't play without one.

I had the Furman PEQ-6 in my studio rack, which was basically two PEQ-3s in a double-spaced unit. They are good, but pretty noisy.
