i've not only played the F-30, i've played the F-50.

...and the F-100

I have a radical idea. The door swings both ways,
we could reverse the particle flow through the gate.
We'll cross the streams.

Nah, he's right. The F-Series SLAYS for rhythms, and has a great clean, but if you want a smooth lead you aren't going to get it.

They also don't have half the EQ flexibility of a Nomad =- as you yourself said, the change in tone from treble half up to treble rolled off really isn't THAT huge. As such, it'd be a tough amp to layer tones with when recording.

Christopher, I'm getting some absolutely brutal rhythm tones out of my Nomad and the new C7 Blackjack right now - I'llg et you some clips over the weekend.

The Mark-IV's do kick amazing amounts of ass, too, but are like 3x the price. :/

Sound clips - Blackjack/JB vs Hellraiser/707 vs Universe/Blaze

Ok dude, they're not great and they were recorded awfully quickly with what's probably not ideal mic positioning, but that's Channel 3 with the gain on 6, channel volume on 5, extreme poweramp mode, and the master low-ish.

It's more F-series than Recto, but IMO that's not necessarily a bad thing.
