The Hungusmachine is finally completed!

Behold, in all it's crappy pic glory:

I've everything I could want in a rig now, fullfills all my needs.

So, allow me to talk you guys through my setup. The main machine is the Engl Fireball, which is a 60watt all-tube amp head, pretty much the amp for Metal. I tested this baby out over a year ago now, and from that moment I though yes, this is the amp for me. Couldn't be happier with it, it just sounds phenominal.

Next we have the ISP Decimator (Little shiny pedal sitting on top of the Fireball) which is the premier noise reduction system on the market, that goes between the gutiar and the amp in the signal chain, eliminating any noise and interference that would otherwise be amplified.

The shiny thing on the floor is the Engl Z-4 footswitch, which allows me to change channels on the Fireball, aswell as switch between two master volumes. Handy for a solo boost.

Sitting next to that, is the Line6 Pod XT Live. I got this mainly for recording, and it does it's job amazingly, but I've also got it set up to run in the effects loop aswell. I was worried that the Pod would suck some tone from the Fireball, but with a bit of tweaking, it sounds great, and actually adds to the tone a little. I'm not using much effects at all, it's just adding a bit of reverb, but I've got it set up with a noisegate and a tiny bit of compression, then there's switchable chorus and delay when needed. The expression pedal is set for volume, which I tend to use a lot for those lovely volume swells.

All that sound is then spat out through the Engl Vintage 4x12 Cab. This is a very sturdy cab, it's loaded with Celestion Vintage 30 speakers, and it's slanted.

So, there is my rig in depth.

I'd add that it's an incredibly silent rig, as I've got the ISP Decimator running infront of the amp, then the noisegate on the Pod running in the effects loop. This completely eliminates all noise when I'm not playing something, there's not even the slightest hum from it, I could crank it right up and you wouldn't even know that it was turned on. Sweet.

And yes, I will have some time bringing all this to practice.

Thoughts?

Thanks very much guys, I'm extremely happy with it, even if I am still pretty minimalist with effects.

It's on a big 7 place guitar stand with all the other guitars, just left of the guitar on the single stand.

I probably should've stuck it in view, but it doesn't sit well on that single stand.

karl, could you elaborate on the POD XT's effect on your ENGL's tone?

i need something soon for effects ... not sure which way i want to go ... gMajor, Boss GT8 or POD XT Live (I liek the idea of all the effects in 1 unit on the floor).

i don't want the pod xt coloring the tone at all though ... can you get it as nuetral as possible and does it steal any of your tubes tone?

i also want the POD XT Live for some easy recording ... so you got me thinking.
