i don't want the pod xt coloring the tone at all though ... can you get it as nuetral as possible and does it steal any of your tubes tone?

i also want the POD XT Live for some easy recording ... so you got me thinking.
Hmm, it's a little hard to say since I'm running it with reverb, and that's essential colouring the tone, isn't it?

But I did keep turning the effects loop to dry (Off) in order to see if there was any tone being sucked, and using just a tiny bit of compression from the Pod, I think it's very neutral indeed. All the clarity, bite and definition of the low end is all still there, so I think it's given me great results.

I was genuinely frightened that it would suck some tone, but it hasn't.

OK, is Engl paying you guys? Everyone around here seems to be picking one up. Next thing you know, Shannon is going to get one, and he hates tubes.

No, Engl isn't paying me... Yet.

Seriously though, Engl are just phenominal amps, and they don't cost ridiculous prices. They're getting heard of simply from good word of mouth, rather than advertising, and they're really taking off. They're probably the best amps you can get for Metal.

she is incredible I can tell.

I wish BC Rich was still as good as back in the day but now who knows. If they are still good at customs then I may consider having them build me a Stealth.
