Just pulled the trigger on a Bad Horsie
I just ordered a Bad Horsie for a pretty nice price, I was semi tempted by the Tremonti wah until I saw he had a BH in his studio.
Being a Vai fan I thought the best way to go was with a BH, seeing as it's what the man uses. Any owners got some tips for it? I know the Vai sound is to run it after a dirt pedal. Thanks. |

Should of went Tremonti... all the BH's I've used were either good ( not being as good as the Tremonti ) or were faulty...I've had my Tremonti for over a year now and no problem. Sorry to be such a bitch

I've got the BH2, so I can voice it however I damn well please with the contour control.
Benn, the biggest tip I can give you is to adjust the turn off delay to your liking. Stock, it is way too long for my tastes. Look in the manual, it will tell you exactly where inside the unit the adjustment is at.

For one horrible moment, I thought you'd dropped the like $3k they're asking for the guitar, not the $100 or so for the pedal.
They apparently kick ass for playing distorted, but sound a bit strange clean. Not sure if this helps or not, but...

I thought the same thing I've seen them pretty cheap (somewhere)...down to like 18-1900. Obviously, that's a lot. But much better than the orignal 3k |

bad horsies are cool wahs, but somehow the odd jump in it's frequency travel that makes it sound so unique doesn't really work with my sound at stage levels, just too piercing. Morleys rock, but i'd kill for a switchless version of the dunlop crybaby from hell(my main wah, but the optical switching of morleys would rock).

The Bad Horsie Jem looks nice, but knock a grand off the price for a bolt-on basswood guitar. Still waiting on the pedal, next working day delivery my arse. ![]() |

Quick update:
I bought the pedal on Wednesday with next day delivery, it's now Friday and the invoice says it's due on Tuesday, so I'm going to have to complain and hopefully get some of the shipping refunded. I've been told by another owner that it's a noisy pedal, even when bypassed, anyone else noticed that? |
