Searching for a new solid state amp...

I have this solidstate combo Marshall 250 dfx (2x50watts) and it's way enough power for me to jam with a drummer. I don't gig for now... When i did, it was in smalls 200-300 persons-capacity places. That's all the power i'll ever need, 'cause i mainly play at home now. Ain't no pro, just have a hard time to pass a day without playing at least 5 minutes.

The thing is, i would like to explore other SOLID-STATE amp...Maybe one that's better designed for 7-string low-end (and suits it well), but still is a practice/small gig amp. I'm willing to put 500$ and i know i don't need more than 50w or a 100w. I would just like to find THE optimal solid-state practice amp for 7-string!!!

I like very tight, defined, rich and low-crunching riffing.

Any help / comments / suggestions will be very appreciated!

as far as solid state amps go, the best i've heard / played through is the Vetta II HD. lots of models, lots of effects, hours of tweaking.

I have a radical idea. The door swings both ways,
we could reverse the particle flow through the gate.
We'll cross the streams.

But for $500, you might want to check out a Spider or even some of the Peavey's

The Vetta II is the shit, much easier to tweek hook up to a computer. The Spider is great too if on a budget.
