Can't wait for your review, I dig the clips on the Diamond site, and I've had me eyes on those for quite some time now.

man talk about old threads never dying?.... I have since had plenty of time to play the spec op..and that is the only amp we are talking about here not the newer models they have now in 2008!..Jeff and I talked when his company was..Like you said earlier a Lawuyers Office pretty much considering thats what he is..and yes a dam good one too... But the amps price was way to high for the common sound...the first editions are the ones I tried without Bass settings on the back..also with a terrible effects loop at the time...since then i have tried Kelli's amps and they are pretty sweet!! just proves you never buy the 1st series of amps HAHAH!!! But i am happy with my Brunetti's and they sound like no other amp out there...the spec op to me sounded like a Modded Lee Jackson amp...and yes i had them to compare them all too...the amp lacked Mojo..or in my stand point!! tone for what i was looking for...good luck with your amp man...jeffs a killer dude and so is alot of the other guys who work for him..But at NAMM they might want to push a little harder towards getting people into the amps instead of just sticking pretty ampless boxes on top of fancy cabinets...

Diamond Spec Op.

I went to their booth this year at winter NAMM...I didnt get a chance to play through any because the booth was fucking packed. All I know is that they look really fucking cool, and I got to hear some kinda hacky guys playing through them.

Anybody own one? Or spent a bit of time with anything in Jeff Diamants line?

Thanks,

Wes.

DerekB will become famous soon enough
I had a spec op sent out to me about 1 1/2 -2 years ago for my review for consideration to take them on as a new amp line. Before receiving it and after hearing the clips that were available I was extremely excited to get it cause the clips to me really sounded great. Well the amp sounded nothing at all like the clips in the slightest and it was a hige disappointment overall. The high gain tones were totally undefined with an extremely loose widespread muddy low end response that was just nothing like I heard in the recording at all. The cleans however sounded great but the high gain channel is the most important for me and it just did not even come close to being anything I would consider taking on. Things may have changed with the amp since then hopefully cause it really was extremely weak for what I like hearing in an amp high gain wise. The clips of the Nitrous model I have heard however from the NAMM show sounded pretty promising and I would be very interested in trying this amp out sometime soon.

There's already a thread (same title too hehe) on page 2 right now:

Diamond amps spec OP

Saw them at NAMM but didn't get to play or hear one. Looked cool but can't say much else about them.

I merged a new thread about these amps (with the same subject line, even) into this one. No worries.
