You traded with a guy? There was a guy who had a blackface 2 channel recto (Smucarolina) and he traded it for a Cobra..I could have sworn he said it was in a rack case like that..same color

I could be wrong but it looks like the things above the head are front and rear cover for the amp head that you put on in transit and take off so you can plug all your shit in.

glad it worked out for you man. i am loving the cobra as well.

the cobra reminds me of my old triple recto with a tighter and punchier sound and a little less sag.

looks good with the mesa cabs.

Yea simple but it's what I needed. I have gotten to where I don't use FX for anything even lead playing. Trying not to hide behind fx so much has really improved my lead playing. Probably just going to run a few pedals in front and keep it simple. Thanks Smscarolina, glad to hear the Cobra is in good hands.

BTW EL34's sound great in a Triple Recto
