![]() ![]() | Need a poweramp to power this beast of a cab ... Fender's MH-412 played my friends line6 HD147 with matching line6 cab ... and i notice with my baritone tuned down to G ... I rumble the shit out of the speakers. so here is my plan, getting a line6 PODXTL into a poweramp into fender's metalhead cab - MH412. why? cause this cab comes with 100 watt celestions designed to handle the low end. so, at 400 watts @ 4 ohms ... what kind of poweramp will i need to power this biatch? the Carvin DCM1015 sound good? assuming i may want a full stack later? i'm thinking a dcm600 would suffice for a single cab with leftovers |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I recommend it in every thread about poweramps but my belief is that you should go with the Carvin TS-100. Yes, it's 100 tube watts but that's plenty of power to knock the shit out of those speakers! POD's through tube poweramps are where it's at! It sounds sooooooooo good! Don't let the 100 watts scare you, you will NEVER need to turn it all the way up and if you do I can promise you will suffer hearing damage. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Just go with a good tube poweramp. The Carvin TS100, Mesa 2:50 & 2:90 or Marshall 50/50 would all do. A little note on volume & power. Sound volume is measured in decibels on a logarithimic scale. Double the volume actually requires 10 times the power. ie. a 100W amp is only twice as loud as a 10W amp. You will have NO trouble keeping up with the HD147 using any of the amps above. |

True, A 100 watt tube amp will drown out that HD147 with ease. Not only do they sound louder, they cut through the mix better. | |

Mesa's are fuckin' LOUD. Ask Chris what the 45-watt Simul-Class in my Nomad can do. ![]() "...and everything under the sun is in tune, but the sun is eclipsed by the moon." |
