![]() | Which Multi FX board? Yea, sorry guys. I'm currently stuck between the Line6 POD XT Live and the Boss GT-8....actually I'm leaning towards the Boss. I read the other poll about Multieffects units, but the GT-8 wasnt in there much. I'm only gonna need it for Distortions, FX, Acoustic Modeling and maybe some other stuff. No amp models though, cuz hopefully I'll be getting a tube amp sometime soon. Help me out here please. Thanks a lot, Marc Signature Removed - Image exceeds 300 px by 100 px |

![]() | Chances are, I'll be getting the Carvin V3, so I could also use the FS44 footswitch to control the channels. I've heard of it, but what exactly is the four cable method? Thanks guys, Marc |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I'm a huge Pod fan, but given what you described, I'd go with the GT-8. The Pod destroys the GT-8 for it ampsims, but the GT-8 destroys to Pod in effects versatility. You can put the effects in ANY order on the GT-8, which I doubt you will ever see on the Pod. Honestly, if the ampsims on the GT-8 weren't so piss poor, I'd be a GT-8 user right now. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ^That's totally cool. Just sharing my opinions - the RP20 is like the floor version of their 2120-era rack gear - very powerful & flexible units with much better interfaces than the newer Digitech stuff. You can route all the digital effects in any order and there's easy footswitch & controller pedal assignment to any parameter. I think it's kinda strange, but if you're a bit of a geek like me and you want maximum flexibility and the ability to tweak any & all parameters, then I haven't seen anything that beats old Digitech gear. I have an RP20 and a PodXT and I prefer the RP20. But I wouldn't consider buying any newer Digitech gear because they've simplified the interfaces and seem to be going for a "just use our preset sounds with minimal tweaking" approach. Maybe I'm just stuck in the 80's/90's ![]() |
