Could you suggest a few good pedals for.....

I'm looking for a few good pedals which wld constitute my effects set-up for performances mainly. I just wanted to get your suggestions on two good dist. pedals, a delay pedal and a EQ pedal. What wld u suggest considering these pedals will be used for playing Nu-metal strictly.

Thanks in advance,

I can't help you with the dist pedals but for EQ I love the Boss (I believe it's the GE-7). I just got a digitech X series delay but I don't know if I like it yet, I need more time.

What amp are they going through?

I can't comment on distortion pedals either. I like my Guyatone MD-3 delay though. It's a pretty good sounding delay to my ears for the price. The feedback option is nice as well. As far as EQ's go, I'd say boss or maybe an MXR. Knowing your amp and guitar would be helpful to us too.

well, if you wanna get technical it IS overdrive...
Its actually just the overdrive pre amp section of an slo100, which has got some mighty powerful distortion.

If you can find it, a Zoom Tri-metal stompbox. It's the closetest to a mesa like sound in a pedal and it's my secret weapon. It's the only pedal I am determined not to part with...

MXR Double Shot Distortion, Visual Sound Jeckyll and Hyde ultimate OD/distortion pedal, and my favorite the Catalinbread Teaser Stallion.
Here are some sound clips of the Stallion, wicked...
Teaser Stallion SoundClips

I'm also looking at the LINE 6 ToneCore Uber Metal Guitar Modeling Pedal, here are some sound clips of the three different settings...I think it sounds cool:
Line 6 Uber Metal
Line 6 Uber Pulverize
Line 6 Insane

I've also recently touched upon the Hughes and Kettner WARP Factor Distortion Pedal...and thanks to Seph recommendations I may be purchasing a Zoom Tri-Metal...

Well, as for EQ, i'm getting a Sniper-modded GE-7 from www.tone-jam.com

Cant wait...i've used my bro's Digitech RP6 as a pre-distortion EQ for the past fortnight, and it makes my cheapo Marshall G100RCD sound faaaaaar better than its price tag warrants :p

I'll let you know if its as silent as they claim

i can achieve most sounds with my ART XtremePlus. it's a multieffects pedal with 4 amp models (which translates into about 3 levels of distortion).

Tips

I suggest Boss GEB7 EQ.
I know it's for bass gtr but it works really well with my 7 string.
Distortion?!?
I think Ibanez SM7 is a good choice:it's a badass padal,it' cheap and it has a kind of noisegate which is very useful!
Bye MNK

Danelectro makes a pretty nice-sounding EQ that sells for something like $30 (to my ears, it sounds better than the stock Boss EQ). If you don't mind the slightly flimsy plastic construction, it's definately worth looking at.
