New Pedals Needed! (apparently)
I am waiting for my 6505 to arrive, and as of course I'm going to be using some pedals with it to help the cleans and all the stuff that I need on the br00tals (obviously not more distortion
) but I have a Zoom G7.1ut, which is ok for me seeing as I'm spending most of my time playing by myself stuck out here in the middle of nowhere. And I have a Boss NS-2, but I've gotten to wondering if it'd help my tone a lot to trade in all of my pedals and get new seperate ones to get The most and of course (hopefully) Best results out of the 6505. Does anybody have advice for pedals that work best with the 6505? Boosts maybe, eq's, chorus, what should I look into? Should I keep truckin' with my Zoom, or invest in some MXR's and the such? Thanks.

That's what I'm asking for, what I need. I suppose that I want something to help the cleans, maybe 10 band EQ, boost for certain things. Anything, just looking for advice on if I should keep my Zoom, or break it up and buy higher quality stomp boxes, so if my Zoom will cut it, or not basically.

technically, you only "need" a boost.
the cleans really aren't that bad on a 5150, not sure how much an EQ will make them seem nicer. maybe a touch of reverb and chorus from the zoom, maaaaybe.

ok, so I think I might stick with my Zoom for a while and tinker with it and the 6505 when it arrives, and I've got lots of other pedals that I plan on trading in for other things. The Zoom does still have purpose, nice to have it around, so the only way I'm gonna be able to find out if it fails with the 6505 is to try it out.

why wouldnt you sell your pedals instead of trading them...?
im a believer that the few things on the floor, the better. yeah fx are fun, they spice thigns up and all.. but they're not necessary by any means. i boggle minds when i tell people i only own 1 pedal, and its an OD. its fun. you have a multi, set up a few patches for cleans etc.
