Score! NED (New effect day)

I just got a Digitech GNX3000 on ebay for £60 I tried one of these out with a 7 string before and I loved the tones. Doesn't come with the PC software but everything is included. woo hoo!

Anyone got any clips of these things? Would like to hear what other guys are doing with them.

Next on my list, a Bloody Murder Overdrive

That's not a bad price at all really! Nice one! Do they normally go for that little?

I think they go for about £100 on ebay usually. So I got a good deal. I should be able to get the software from else where but I'll mainly be using it for practicing and if the effects sound good with my Laney then I'll use it live too.

That's a nasty price. Like 120 american dollars, which is a steal

Congrats, and enjoy it

Yeah, all the software you need you can get on the Digitech website. All you have to do is register first.

Apart from that, all you need is the MFX cd and you'll be ready to go.

It came!

I've been pissing about with it for about an hour now through my Laney VH100R. Through the preamp, it's ok. But it sounds much better into the poweramp. It comes to life.

There's so much to do with the GNX it's unreal. It's like having the Line 6 tone port program in a package. Cabinet tuning, EQ's, Amp models, stomp boxes, effects, drum machine etc etc.

I'm taking this with me to next rehearsal and see how it does through the PA, if it does well, then I'll leave the amp at home and use this. Though may stick with the Laney for live stuff.

Also got Eidolon's Nightmare World through the post too, this CD kicks arse

Finally got to take it to practice today. Plugged it direct into the mixer through 2 huge PA speakers and was pleasently surprised. Sounds pretty good, not as great as the Laney through a cab but good enough to get away with it.

Shame the PA couldn't handle it for too long because the speakers started to fizz on me, might have been my fault because my band plays ridiculously loud. You could hear us from the other side of the complex (Mill Hill Music complex for those in London).

Also ordered a Bloody Murder Overdrive from Joe today too, won't be hear for about 2/3 weeks but I can't frigging wait. My SD-1 sounds good and it's done me well these past 3/4 years but I want more It's got to beat the hell out of the Keeley Modded TS-9DX Flexi screamer I had for a while, from all the great reviews I'm sure it will
