so i'm gonna run these parallel, but should i have a separate jack in the back for each pair, or run them all parallel to one jack?
also, if i run them to 2 separate jacks , can i just run one wire from one side of my power amp to a y-connector plugged into the 2 jacks, will that work? Last edited by 7 Strings of Hate; 03-12-2007 at 02:41 AM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost |

Tonkers don't sound very good by themselves but they work well with Swamp Thangs. If you're weary of them get all Swamp Thangs, you won't be disappointed at all!

I have also listened very carefully to swampthang and tonkers... the legends in the Vader cabs ,are a great package for me. My favorites are the wizards and the legends swampthings sound good too ,the thing about eminence is I need all their speakers or at least 7several . Well thats my take on them. Hope it helps. |

thanks for the input lewy, will it be exactly the same if i run 2 8 ohm speakers in parallel, as it would for me to run 4 16 ohm speakers in parallel? i end up with 4 ohms either way, but is that the same other that it will just be either mono or stero? will it work the same? i;m thinkin it would be easier to just get 4 16 ohmers , parallel them, get them down to 4 ohms and just have one input

I'm going to go against all suggestions and say that I've never been a fan of any Eminence speaker - a V30' or C90 will always sound better to me.
Especially mic'd up... that's where Eminence's REALLY fall short. |

Electro-Voice EVM-12L speakers have been praised for years for delivering monster tone, great durability and high power handling without breaking up. They're not cheap, though, with the EVM-12L Classic coming in around $249 and the Black Label (Zakk Wylde model) at around $289, but that bad boy will handle up to 300 watts.
Apparently Eminence's Delta-12A is very close in specs and performance to the EVM-12L, but with a power handling rated at 400 watts. And it's half the price of the Electro-Voice. I had been planning on building a 1x12 speaker cab around the EVM-12L, but i may just try out the Eminence Delta-12A. |

yea, i'm lookin for power handleing and loudness, with an xt you can pretty much dial in your sound to give you the tone ya want out of just about any speakers, and eminence's are fairly cheap, and i dont want anything with zakk wylde's name on it, hes a great player, but a total fuckin whore

Swmap Thangs and EVM's sound VERY similar. That's why I like them so much, they sound close enough at about a quarter of the price.
