New Rack Stuff Day!!! (56k = non-MIDI rig :p)

Today, boxes arrived!!!!

Box number one...

1U panel to bolt a surge protector on to, for fixing to rear rack rails

2U slidey pedal tray

Box number two...

Cable for controlling the Roadster...

...with an RG16

Which will be switched by...

Voodoo Labs Ground Control Pro

This is the 4U rack I was going to use...

...but it now seems Im going to need to upgrade to a 6U to fit in all the cabling, power leads, transformers etc. As such the 4U is now in the FS section!!

That was basically this month's earnings, the next month will hopefully see the addition of a G Major 2, mains conditioner, power supply for pedals, some uber pedal board tape, 6U rack, flightcased pedal board and george L's cables for the lot

Nice one Dave! That ground control looks a lot more impressive than I thought it would. I look forward to a demonstration of that! Although somehow, I'm not convinced your setup time will be reduced lol

New toys FTW!

Setup time should be the same really, Im gonna make cable snakes from head-to-rack and from rack-to-pedalboard so there's no more cables to plug in than with my current rig

Considering some of the shit jobs Ive had to do this month in order to pay for this stuff, you can trust me that Ive earnt it! Highlights include cleaning hosiptal wards, holding a 'Queue Here' sign at a clothing sale all day, mind-numbing data entry for a broker, plus my usual guitar teaching, plus playing in a cheesy covers band, plus not going out/to the pub once!!

Its all been worth it to be able to unpack all that gear in one day, Ive just ordered a 6U flightcase rack so that should be here next week

I can definitely recommend doing it. Stuff like the RG16 and GCP will work with any amp/setup so once youve saved up and paid out for it once, youre literally set for life!! No matter what guitar/amp/pedals/processors youre using in any band at any time, you'll be able to control the lot with the same gear time and time again
