Hay guys,
I am a left-handed guitarist and there really aren't a lot of guitars I can choose from. A guy offers me the Ibanez for 400 Euro and the Washburn is 300. Is the Ibanez worth the 100 E? Is it a better guitar. First I want to say, that I rarely play metal. I'm more a blues, funk, single-coil guy, but I like to play solos on a humbucker. I like the push-pull on the washburn, but want to chose between the two guitars and my general criteria is sound quality and reliability not the style they fit in.
Also I'm not a big fan of floating bridges. I don't use the tremolo and consider it a weak point that can couse potential problems. All the problems of my current guitar come from the floating bridge. It sounds bad.

After mulling it over for what seems like an eternity, I thought it was time to go back in time & finally buy a BC Rich Gunslinger Retro.

This is the latest version, MIC, Duncan Design p'up, Floyd Special, Basswood..........all the cheap bits, but it's really quite a nice playing guitar.

The Good

The styling, very 80's hard rock.
The colour, Metallic Burnt Orange, loving it immensely.
The headstock, every BC Rich should have it.
Light weight, wont hurt your shoulders for a few hours at least.
The neck, while I love wafer thin necks like Jackson & Ibanez, this
is very comfy. It's like a tree trunk but has a great shape that's
easy to wrap your hand around, different to what I am use to
but still pleasant.
The bridge, my Charvel Star has one of these too & I'm not
understanding the issues some people have, I find it very stable & usable.
It traveled halfway round the world in a cardboard box to get
to me & was almost completely in tune, impressive.

The Bad

Yes, there is bad. The Duncan Design pick ups are pretty ordinary.
Not crap, just not good after being use to EMG & Dimarzio.

Blah blah blah..................pic time!

Ibby and Dimarzio endorsed artist shredding up a storm. Cool to hear an 8 string being used in a traditional 'lead/solo' situation rather than a chug fest.

Hi guys, I was about to sell a guitar, but hesitated at the moment. I still have it, and am torn...

Hi guys, I was about to sell a guitar, but hesitated at the moment. I still have it, and am torn between selling it or not. The guitar is a Ernie Ball Music Man JPX GC 47th Anniversary Limited Edition, with a beautiful quilt maple top and CL/LF Pickups. The reason I'm debating selling this guitar is because I never truly bonded with it, and I play more death metal/metalcore than anything, so as a result don't play it often. I use an LTD MH350-FR and Ibanez RG with EMG's as my stage guitars and my JPX usually just sits in my room, only to be played when I noodle around on standard tuning. The guitar itself is stunning though, and sounds immaculate on cleans.

Any input would be appreciated as I'm completely torn. If I sold it I wouldn't be able to get it back, because it's the only JPX shaped (thinner neck and thinner upper horn than JP6 BFR) JP sig out there with a quilt top. However I do want the $$ for some other stuff (AXE FX and some other stuffs)

Here are some pics
Modifications (if any): None, all stock! She does have a few dings, but considering her age (23) she is in excellent condition. If you are looking for a killer player from the golden age of Ibanez, this is it.
Accessories (hardshell case etc): Comes with the trembar, but i don“t have the original case or any case for the guitar. I can ship it with a case, but we have to work something out for that posibility.
Location (City,State or City,Country): Oostzaan, The Netherlands
Contact Info (No Phone #s) PM me here
References Required (eBay or other forum userid): Sold my Sherman here, ebay user id is samuelbroers and got 100% feedback
Price (include currency and if firm/obo): 1400 euro“s (paypal is fine, but gift option) and that“s including shipping within Europe. I pack good, so the guitar won“t damage and it will have loads of foam and bubble plastic within it“s shipping box. NO trades! As i have to pay a few bills and that“s the only reason i have to let her go. She“s a killer guitar and i am going to miss her dearly.
I would like to stick to the EU, but international shipping is an option. If you have any questions, let me know.
I'm selling this on behalf of a chum who has but intermittent internet access at the moment - so I'm putting my reputation on the line for what is a great instrument. Couple of minor chips on the underside horn (pictured) but plays fast, sounds great and comes with the "must have" additions of a set of Bareknuckle Nailbombs, Dimarzio staplocks+strap and a Tremel-no.

If you are interested PM me here and I will make sure the current owner contacts you in a timely fashion to discuss details/offers etc - I can state for certain however that he is not interested in trades.

Hello! I am going to be doing an EP and I was wondering what is the best way to go about it. Should I go one song at a time? Or would it be better to do drums for all the songs, then bass for all the songs, ect... Also what order do you usually do instruments in? Obviously drums first, but should bass or guitar come after? Thanks for the help!

Ok everyone, i'm finally getting my 1st 7 soon and I need some help with the pickup selection. I'm already completely sold on the SD Jazz model in the neck because well......i don't know if you've noticed, but it's kinda the shit. The problem is the bridge transducer. I want a 7 string version of the Dimarzio Steve's Special in the bridge but it doesn't exist. Does anyone know of something that'll get me to that sounds? If you've equipped that pickup in your bridge you know it's ubercrisp and i think it'll translate well to 7 strings. Figured i'd try the forum before calling the dimarzio chaps myself. Hook me up with some info and i'll hook you up with some orphan tears for your next love potion :agreed:
