holy shit.

EDIT: I don't mean to be a dick, but that's a pretty tall and complicated build that you should really take up with a luthier if you're serious about getting it done. Otherwise you're just wasting someone's time (unless they're just bored as hell).

Um, with that many frets, I doubt you could fit 3 pickups on the body. Plus, no ones makes TOM 8 string bridges.

Methinks you should keep to guitars that are actually feasible for mockups.

Then take a 24.5 scale, and not a 30'' scale.
Go to my build, i got some kind of simillar mockup done, but for a 7string iceman.

More frets =/= smaller frets. The intonation point still has to be at the twelfth fret, so even with 31 frets they'll be the exact same size as the frets on a 22 fret guitar of the same scale length. The new frets are simply added at the very end of the board, taking up the room for any pickup.

the 24.5 scale would make the low f extremly floppy so i want to keep the f some what tight so what scale should i go for so that the frets arent far away from each other

Honestly man, anything above 25.5" scale (you know, standard scale) will have bigger frets than standard You could probably get away with using a 27 or 28" scale neck, the Ibby RG2228 is a 27" baritone if i'm not mistaken (or possibly the ESP 8?) But yeah, point is anything will have bigger frets when you go up. When you're talking about going up to a 30" scale, it's basically the same fret size as a short-scale bass guitar...

You could always consider going multiscale/fanned fret? It's supposed to be easier to pay once you're used to it, cos it follows the contour of your hand up and down the neck, and it means you could have a longer bass side (28" or so) and then have a standard scale treble side (25.5")

Not sure anyone really makes them in an environment where you could try it Honestly, talk to a custom builder like Mike Sherman or Dan from Oni guitars (dpm on here). They'll be able to steer you in the right direction
