If you look closely in the video, you'll notice this guitar doesn't have blackouts- it has SD Basslines bass pickups, which are direct EMG replacement soapbars.

They're also awful. The logo is clearly the "Basslines" logo. Weird.

Now I'm not sure about the pickups, actually, because one of his 7 strings has the same casing. I wonder if they just put the guitar internals in the bass casting.

I always wondered why they dont just play it live in these vids. What is the point of faking it to the CD track? Its not a music video.

It's pretty much is, great for image, since 70% of the kids think it is a real jam.
It's like all these live dvd that's on the market, people actually believe that everything that's happening on them is real.

Maybe I'm just seeing things or I'm crazy, but it seems like his low string is tuned to G, not F#. Looks like he's fretting the 1st fret mostly, which sounds like a G# on my guitar. Maybe I loco

And why do some guys use that foam looking stuff around the strings at the headstock? I believe I've seen Meshuggah do it as well. Some kinda buzz thing going on up there?
