2228 without hardware on bay

Ibanez RG2228 Prestige 8-String Electric Guitar - eBay (item 230259673525 end time Jun-11-08 09:56:33 PDT)

2228 missing bridge and nut with a case. Could turn into nice project if you don't mind basswood body, 27" scale and EMG's. I'd definitely hit it if I'd live in US.

That is bizarre.

How would you get it back without the store noticing the bridge is gone?

If the seller shipped out of the US id buy that and refinish it and then figure out a way of either getting new hardware (or perhaps fill in the old bridge and have a hipshot on there) or just swapping the stuff from my original rg2228.

They don't do outside US though.

I'd jump on it, but I don't have the time to put it all together. Still, the 27" scale length kills it.

Seems to me it could be a good way of getting an 8 string neck and some EMG808's. You could always get a replacement body made of something other than basswood that took a Hipshot bridge, then put a new nut on the neck.

Without a doubt that would be a cool score to fix up or like you said Hipshot that action.

or you could fill in the bridge cutout and put a kahler flat mount 8string trem in there, that would be sweet.

Looks like someone bought a 2228 just to get the double locking hardtail for another guitar. Craziness! I wouldn't mind seeing the guitar it ends up going into.

it only sold for 5 hundred and change first time around. that is crazy that means if the seller never backed out he would have had an eight string without a $1000 dollar floyd hahahaha
but even so at that price or their roundabouts i would splice two floyds and put them together for an 8 string. it's going to be fixed so it wouldn't even have to be an original floyd set. could work
