they recorded nothing with downtuned ibanez 7s, because they hadn't got their 8s yet, they may have been 27", but their nevborn's were 29" as far as I know. and their custom ibbys are as said before, 30"
I'm getting an 8 from roter, and he said that for a 30" tuned to low E like mine will be, A 0.80 string would be the best.

Just looking at some baritones, it seems like 27" is the norm. If the added scale length changes the tone so much, I wonder how 28-30" sound for low tunings like F# or E. Are there really any affordable options for those long scales? I see Agile has a 28" 6er.

Another option I kicked around was a 28.5 Warmoth neck to use on my old Fender Lead 1 (it is Strat-ish I guess you'd say). Looks like they could get a bit expensive though.

I'm trying to figure out if their baritone necks are all the same and just made a little different for whatever guitar it's meant to go on? I have no idea if necks are easily interchangable or anything like that, never done any modding like this.

There was an OLP MM6 Baritone which was pretty cool but also discontinued I believe. I'm still trying to locate the Pearl Blue one with all maple neck, but it's very rare it seems.

No that's the original MM, the one I refer to was an OLP in the 300$ range.

The MMM1 is one of the nicer baritone IMO, it needs a pickup change tho
