this was my original idea, until I saw darren's mockup of the charcoal 828 in the big sticky thread. If I get another one of these (highly likely!) then it'll probably be satin black. Or maybe, like, I'll get a guitar that has colour in it one day.

frakkin sweet. i was lookin at the fm-408 wishing it had a decent scale and single pickup and this is even better with the ebony fretboard.
how much is your's gonna be? and how much was it with the emg.

My bad. These were rough mockups I was making just to send Kurt so he knew what I was talking about, and I didn't think twice before posting them publicly. I don't even have my trusty MSpaint at the moment but I'll add your watermark when I get home

email kurt! he's open to a lot more wacky ideas than people think. He was down with making an 8-string interceptor, I don't see why he wouldn't entertain the idea of a Defiant 7

Im just curious about the inlay, how did kurt let you do that? When I asked Kurt about inlays, he said I couldnt do any inlaying ACROSS the frets, only on single frets. So how'd you get a 3-fret inlay???

I was seriously considering going fretless, just to get my inlay (since he cant use the cross-fret excuse if its fretless ;o)
