Here's the quick fix I did for mine: took a chrome Yamaha 5-string bass pickup ring, filed down one side to fit inbetween the bridge and cavity, sanded the chrome to roughen, painted flat black then clear coated with satin poly, applied heavy-duty double-sided tape (I also didn't want to drill holes for future consideration), and presto - hole essentially covered. The ring's original adjustment holes still allow me to get a small screwdriver in there to make Pup height adjustments. Total time invested: about 20 mins work in total. Works for me.
