Wow!
Splendid looking guitar.

Love the hidden controls - makes for a very clean & simple appearance.

Minor nitpicks: I always prefer angled pickups for a multi-scale string layout, and I wouldn't put covers over EMG's as they use weak magnets and are intended to be positioned as close to the strings as possible.

I have made wood covers also for EMG and I contacted EMG Tech with questions about that, and they told me I can do this, but not thicker than 2mm

Erik Hauri is a jewel in the rough
Hey guys, thanks for all the props on the V8. It is entirely original, the knob location was inspired purely by the fact that its where you'll find the controls for most acoustic guitars these days. It took 8 months to complete, and stretched my build skills in many ways.

The covers on the EMGs (40TWs) are 1mm thick on top; the saddles are Ghost strat piezos. The intonations screws are indeed standard size, so the slant of the bridge limits their travel, but it made me work hard to calculate the saddle positions just right. With some trig, Excel, a fret calculator and CAD, it took me an entire Saturday to lay out the fret slots in CAD...compared to ~45 minutes to cut said slots. The intonation is bang on.

Next time I will do the heel differently, and probably move the perpendicular fret from #12 to #7 or #9. Fretting F or Bb is slighty awkward, but its probaby more my technique than anything else.

Yep, I know a lot of guys like to tilt the pickups; as long as the magnetic aperture is wide enough, there's no reason not to.

For this particular build, I really wanted it to be a "stealth" fanned-fret, i.e. straight pickups and square end to the fretboard behind the nut...I wanted to make folks have to stare at it and wonder "what's up with that?" before realizing it's a multiscale instrument.

Yeah I know..
