I still don't understand why our chinese friends didn't flood ebay with crazy cheap 30" scale 8 strings already. Certainly the lack of a cheap bridge

There is a whole bunch of them from time to time. Don't know about 30 inch, but there has been a couple.

bridge is pain in the ass - or custom, or Kahler or Hipshot.

But really cheap hardtail like in Fenders with metal saddles can be done with easy. With mass production will cost not more than 60-70 dollars

Nah, I doubt many people would buy into it.

However, it'd definitely be cooler than that bland RG2228.
