Odds a new 8 String
What do you think, a new one for next year. It seemed to be pretty successfull, idk why anyone wouldnt. ESP, Ibanez, Jackson, dont really care who just as long as its badass with a good spec. Reason being is the Ibby 8s are now on backorder until feb according to some sites. Only one i really can get it from is AMS, because of the payment plan. They say Feb, rest say Dec 31st....well i dont think ill have the full amount by the 31st if they do get them in then. When i do i doubt there will be any left. So just seeing what you guys think about new 8s being announced at Namm. Thinking about whether or not i should cancell my order and save my cash for something new instead of waiting until Feb. the latest.

That AMS payment plan owns everything, that is the only place i buy gear from because i can afford all of it, as far as a new 8, i tend to think schecter has somthing brewing under our noses.

If any major company will do it, I'd imagine it would be ESP, or maybe Schecter. I'm not entirely sure why I think that, though. I wouldn't count on it happening, but it would be nice!

I gaurantee that schecter comes out with an 8 in the near future, they seem like they are very competitive.

i would love to see one come out for the new year, but i wouldn't be surprised if one didn't.
maybe rondo can finish the design process for us for a new 8? ![]()

That would be spiffy, especially if he ended up going with the fanned fret idea that was being thrown around. I wouldn't count on it any time soon, though, as I think he had said something about focusing more on designing new 7-strings for 2008, which is still pretty cool.

![]() yeah, rondo is the shit.but i really don't think that the fanned-fret option is going to happen. kurt wanted to keep the eight under a grand, and doing fanned frets would probably seriously bump up the price. i think its agreat idea, i just don't think it will happen within kurt's desired price range. |

Yeah, I know
If anybody made a production 8-string with fanned frets, though, that would really be something. |
