Philip Woodfield - Luthier - Maker of fine guitars

" This guitar was made to specific requirements. 630mm scale length to primary nut. Tuned as a normal guitar for first 5 strings, then g f e d' c' h'(b) a' g' f' e' c''. The bass strings are elongated in order to have a thinner gauge than would be the case if all the strings were the same length, which makes for a better feel and sound. The fingerboard is cut back to reduce weight.

If I had to guess why it looks so retarded, I'd say it's because it looks like what happens when you take a normal guitar, load it up with teratogens, and make it give birth. It's very asymmetric, and the headstock looks like a Resident Evil-esque monstrosity.
