Why not add the "SEMEN" inlay to this one instead?

i don´t think i would use it as a 7 string without using the low F... i don´t feel comfy ignoring the lowest string and using the next string as the lowest note :P

i´d probably tune it to drop Ab and have an extra high note...

though you´d need extra light high strings...

i´d separate the 7 and 8 string stuff if it were me, having a baritone 7 and a super baritone 8...

Decipher is a jewel in the rough
I love mine to death as well!! Play it all the time. It's now my main guitar. As of now though, I play it like a 7 and will be using the Low F# soon, but the bass player and I are working on that right now!

And I agree with Bulb, the Fixed Edge bridge is totally fucking awesome!! I really do hope they offer that bridge on more than just the RG2228 and the Mick 7 sig model.

thats fine hehe, no one is forcing you!
but as for me it will work out very well, i was messing around with the 7 string songs and found quite a few places where i could make really cool use of the 8th string and it never got in the way for me at least, so im definitely going to use it live, but of course im going to still use the carvin!

Same thing on the seven for me. My band has 3 songs where the low B string is either not used at all or only used a little bit. In one of those songs, I ignore the low B through the entire song and it doesn't feel uncomfortable at all.

I mean, in the 80s, a lot of those bands played songs mostly in A (based off of the A string) and they had no trouble doing that.

If I had an 8-string, I'd probably tune it BEADGBEA, but if it was tuned F#BEADGBE, I would easily be able to ignore that low F# for most songs (I'm sure I'd use it for some songs). In fact, I'm sure I could ignore the F# and low B strings for certain songs - just like many guitarists ignore the top 3 treble strings for many songs.

* Naren is thinking of forcing MF's kitten to buy an 8-string and tune it to low Eb.
