Cant wait...

Goddamn i really want to purchase an Rg2228 but at the same time, want to save up for what is in store for next years models. Im hoping for a new Ibby 8, Neck thru, Floyd Rose, maple neck, ebony fretboard, Lungrens, something other than a black finish..., Maybe an S? That would be wierd lol.

On another note, RG8s are out of stock everywhere ive checked online. Anyone have an estimate on how long it will take for more to get in, or perhaps last time they got them in stock? I think it was sometime this month?

Waiting is always pain in the ass But waiting to long is not good idea. We don't know if any of your desire guitars will be avaliable next year

I ordered mine in July, and it won't be here until January. So...you're looking at 6-7 months.

Honestly, I'd be surprised if Ibanez released a 2nd 8 string.

7StringofAblicK-This is my footswitch. it changes channels on my amp - just like on a television, but I only have four channels.

That would be cool if you could get your hands on an RG2228. Maybe you'll find one on ebay.

I hesitate on my decision in this field as well. Ordering an Ibanez looks very tempting, but in me case I can get guitar custom made by my own specs for almost the same price. For now I think I'm going to stick with waiting:

1)2008 winter NAMM is rather close, maybe some manufacturer (maybe Ibanez) will introduce some more reasonably priced 8 strings

2)There aren't many 8 string passive pickup options for custom project now, Bare Knuckles promised to release 8 string pickup option in December, maybe some other manufacturer will do the same in near future

3)Maybe some manufacturer will be kind to release some more 8 string hardware (we have only Kahler and Hipshot bridges for now)

I think I'm going to calm down and enjoy me seven till February something. There's still some tweaking to be done to sound well with low B in me gear section before jumping to low #F.

Then we'll see...

Patience is a virtue

When I ordered mine in march/april, I was told that a first run of a few pieces was ready to go into shops in october. I had mine in late september. I was also told that for the second, massive run dealers had to wait til december/january so it isn't a surprise if you say that you can't find any in stores.

Mogar music, the italian Ibanez dealer, also told me that any other production 8 was in Ibanez's plans for a bit of time, but who knows. Since you have to wait anyway, check the NAMM out for some surprise and then do your choice.

Hmmm yeah i guess i can wait. But i like to spend money so im probably going to Pick SOMETHING up. Idk i want to stick with just 7s but there arent really any 7s out there id want other than my 607. If the S7320 came in better specs id probably hit it up. I really want a thin style body. The JS1200 on the other hand, is giving me a woody.
