Actually, it's not painted black, it has an ebony top over the whole body.
It's by far one of the most expensive guitars I've ever seen.

Its got a .080 as the low F# (and Doug and I tune down another half step, also - so low F, really) - and it is really really really playable

2050 pnd sterling - although Doug's now upped the price to 2500 pnd sterling IIRC.

We talked a bit through Youtube's messaging system afterwards. Turns out he's got a killer collection of guitars. D: 17 or so... insane.
