Long-scale acoustics?

JW what people know about extended scale acoustic guitars that are in production. I don't know what scale length is actually standard on acoustics, so i don't know what qualifies as extended either... But i was just wondering cuz I tuned my acoustic down C# for a while and it didn't sound as nice as i thought it would. Wondering if there are decent quality acoustics meant for lower tunings.

I don't know, you try to help and get abuse. What is a guy to do?

But seriously, I have to admit I'm not too fond of Ovations. I hate the tone and I hate round-backs. Having said that, Preston Reed uses them and gets some nearly decent tones.

I love ovations. And Reed's tone is great imo. I wish they'd make a 7 string or 14 string.

The Alvarez looks pretty nice and the other one looks cool, but also seems a bit large anad cumbersome. I won't even go into the plastic salad bowls...I work on the horrid neck joins all the time.

Funny that you should mention baritones, I just happen to have the very last one of these coming in a few weeks, as they stopped making them, and were only made in limited numbers. Jean Larrivee himself told me about the last one kicking around the shop when I met him at the MIAC show, and instantly arranged to obtain it. I'll have to post some pics when I get it. Now this is class:

Larrivee BT-60 Baritone Guitar

Please be kind to snakes. They can't help it.

The Tacoma looked cool but i think i'd prefer around the 27" scale, plus the body looks massive.
It makes me rather sad that the Larrivee won't be made anymore. Looks awesome. Though i'd want something with a LITTLE more upper fret access. Get some clips up if you can.
Alvarez is a brand i would trust - that thing looks awesome. 27 1/2" scale with a 15th fret neck joint.

Jammy, your guitar looks nice too. But i'm not in the market yet, so it's doubtful i'll have the opportunity to buy it. Nice wood for the back and sides.
