See, when people make their guitars like that, I wonder they just don't make the guitar a single cut or have a very short top horn (like a Parker Fly). It looks like a sick guitar, especially the neck, headstock and fretboard though. I also dig the high A - different! Clips!!!

That looks killer! I like the look of the neck thru

What does "legato" have to do with the horns? Hand position wouldn't be different if something was played staccato or legato! Am I missing something?

The only thing I see as a problem- and "only" is a relative term here- is that I think saying that you weren't going for aesthetics is a cop out for knowing that you didn't take the time to really get everything finished the way you knew you should/could have. You can see that the body glue surfaces weren't decked flush against the neck, so there are a bunch of gaps and exposed glue. You didn't make routing templates to get clean routes on the pickups and rear plate, didn't finish the carving on the neck heel. Finally, you didn't let the neck acclimate before getting to work on it, and the whole instrument looks like it doesn't have enough finish on it. I know you put 4 coats of tung oil on it, but that's definitely not enough for a full finish and the cure time you gave it afterwards (and presumably between coats) was nowhere near enough. The wood looks like it doesn't have any finish on it. Because of those last two things, I'm curious to see how the body and neck move around as the instrument ages in the next few months.

I'm not ragging on you nor am I telling you you did worse than the average person- in fact I think you made the same kind of mistakes everyone makes on a first instrument- but there were a few of us that tried to warn you and talk you into taking a really slow, thorough approach when the instrument arrived and really doing it up right so you had an instrument that you were really proud of when you were finished. But you finished the whole thing in 2 days, which is definitely not enough time even for the finished finish to cure let alone all the wood work.

Again, I'm not trying to be a douche, but I'm just expressing my concern for the future of the stability of the instrument because you didn't take as much time as you could've because of excitement or whatever. I don't think it's really fair to say that you weren't going for aesthetics, though, because aesthetics aren't the problem- you just didn't take the time you could've and didn't do the job that you were surely capable of.

Rock on, though.

It's more an issue of the big stretches often needed while playing extensive legato stuff, than the legato itself. Big stretches are often restricted by lower horn position on superstrat body styles.

Jetzt liegst du hier, ganz regungslos, in meinem hand und meinem schoß, du bist so kalt...

Now really... who put the angus douchebag tag here? Uncalled for. He didn't make anything up. It doesn't look like templates or patience were employed at any time during the making of the body...

Turned out the way I wanted, and BTW I spent a week and a half, not 2 days, dont jump to conclusions with no info, but Ill let ya know how it does in few months if it will shut you up(not likely though) When Im talking about not caring bout aesthetics Im talking about the body shape not the routing. You seem to follow me around just to annoy me and its getting old fast

Such pain, I must help...deepen it

Glad to see it together,Adam
The main thing is that you are happy with it. I`m sure it was a good learning experience for you.
I demand sound clips when you can get around to it

Indeed it was Mike I think a bolt-on project will be in order if I decide to do another project as I am not a luthier and dont plan to be, I will put some soundclips once I get my hands on a recording device.

I removed them but still I just cant stand Angus, when Mike gives me constructive criticism he puts it in a encouraging way and he is the master, while Angus doesent and just seems to negatively criticise every little thing I do
Read all the posts he has ever made.
