Thoughts on Agile Interceptor Pro 827?
Hey guys,
New member here. Over the past few years, I've slowly let Periphery and Animals As Leaders shape the way I play the guitar. . . Unfortunately for my wallet, that now means that every time I pick up a six string, I just feel like there isn't enough to do what I want to do. As a result, I've been investigating the forums and reviews in general and have seen a lot of positive reviews of Agile's line of 8 string guitars. Now, I'm pretty particular when it comes to my guitars. I've found two out of their line that I'm interested in. Interceptor Pro 827 Septor Pro 827 Now, I honestly love the look of the Interceptor. The headstock, the wood, the whole thing just makes your jaw drop. Same thing with the Septor, except I'm not as in love with the ash and the headstock. However, I've heard better things about the Cepheus pickups than the EMG's, in addition to hearing a good bit of gripe with the tremolo system on the Interceptor (though apparently, the ones who fiddle with it actually get it to work perfectly for their needs.) Granted, I won't be using it as much, but it's always nice to have since we're talking a difference of around $250 (which when you're dropping this much on a guitar shouldn't be a factor.) So, what do you guys think? Septor or Interceptor? I'm leaning towards the Interceptor, but the tremolo system makes me worry. Let's hear your thoughts! |

Well, I was never a big fan of kahlers, so I am slightly biased there
personally I prefer the septor, the bridge is nice and saves you some money for similar qualities of the interceptor. That and you can alter your tunings and such. Just a small opinion Although I was on the same boat as you, I wound up saving more and buying a custom carvinDC800. Love that thing <3 maybe its something to look into? Cheers! |
