Bros...

Had a new arrival today from the man in brown... Guess which one?

Another RGD2120Z. Man...these things are AWESOME! I tuned this one to Drop A...with 11's!!! I'll probably put 12's on it though...

Anyway, enjoy! Now I just need to move the Charvel Demartini, and I can stop shopping for a bit!

Sweet looking pair. I say lefty is the new one. Looks like it still has stock pickups.

What scale are those again? 26.5" ? I would really love to add an Ibanez to the collection some day.

Yep - 26.5".

Funny - it doesn't really feel all that much bigger, and my other guitars are all Les Pauls. I notice a little, but I'm just not super-sensitive to it I guess. Some people would go nuts I'm sure...

Haha, yeah. I only really notice a difference between 25.5" and 24.75" scale when I'm working the neck really high up near the joint. The only real difference I feel is when I hop on my 5-string bass that has a 34" scale I believe.

What are you plugging into besides the Axe FX? Just interested since it's similar to what I'm looking at doing. I got Laney 4x12 cab loaded with V30s that I really like. Deciding whether to go amp or something rackmount to plug into the cab. Using my Tiny Terror right now mainly.

I notice the scale difference, but mainly in tension, not playability.
And for me, it's a GOOD difference.

I don't need to use 100 gauge bass strings on a 26.5" for low F.

I'm using a Rocktron Velocity 100, going into Greenback loaded Marshall 425A Vintage Modern cab. I run it in stereo. I like that the Rocktron is a fairly musical power amp, as it's made with the guitar in mind, it's plenty loud, and it doesn't color the tone.
