NGD - Ibanez RGD2120Z

Picked this up recently "used"...but you'd never know it... It has a Crunch Lab/Liquifire combo, and plays like a DREAM!! It came set up drop C, but I put it back to D...for now... Fun guitar to play, and just KILLS the RGD 320 I used to have.

Pics!

Wish they did that finish for the 7 string version. Happy NGD dude.

Yeah...I'm not a huge fan of the flat black finishes, since they always shine up. This one is pretty cool. I really like everything about this guitar.

Beautiful guitar. i want one of these soooooo bad. Im not a fan of ibanez but between this guitar, the rg3550, rg3250 and the old school rg550 from the late 80s make me really want to switch over from my esps.

That's SWEET. The first time I saw ola used that i just fell in love with the Cobweb design and the RGD shape.

HNGD!

P.S. How much did you get it for?
Cheers.

Thanks, guys. Yep...it's all that and a slice of cheese. Love the Prestige line. They really upped their game and continue to bring out great stuff.

As far as what I got it for - let's just say not too much more than what a new RGD420 would go for... . I'm a good negotiator.

I haven't tested the "hard to scratch" theory, but I'd nothing else, at least it would be hard to see!

It feels slightly odd on my forearm...

Very nice Chris! I wonder if that was one of the 2120z's I've owned, I've tossed that pickup combo into two of them so far and one was set up for Drop-C tuning.

It's more about the texture than anything. I like the "cutaway" aspect of it though. It puts you at just the right angle for playing.

This has really made a push to become my favorite guitar to play. The trem on these things are nothing short of REMARKABLE. The Edge trems have always been great, but the "zero whatever..." really step it up. Almost as good as having a Tremel-No system. This is also the first Ibanez I've had that I've been genuinely happy with the fretwork. All the Ibbys I've had in the past have had frets that seemed to have been missed by the fret polishing dude. Not this one. Quite pleased all around.
