PHOTOS!

Specs are probably pretty obvious from the photos; went for the stainless steel jumbo frets and they were the correct choice as it seems from what little time I've had to play it thus far. Body has a clear matte finish and neck is tung oiled. Truth be known, I've never really played a 7-string before, and have only held (never played) an 8-string before owning this. You could say it was quite a gamble.

Overall impressions thus far: Best instrument I've ever owned/played hands down. Feels great and plays great and I've not even set it up to my liking yet. I need to order a custom string set so I can run Drop E without flop city from the stock F# string. Once I get a new set on I'll sit down and get everything set up to my liking.

TO ANYBODY that mainly plays 6's and is thinking about a DC800; it took me a grand total of 20 minutes playing this before I felt comfortable with the extra strings and neck wideness. If you have the cash and are on the fence, I say DO IT!

I assume that's a mahogany body. How's it sound on the low strings? How's the clarity? I went with all mahogany body, hog neck with maple stripes, and maple top/board. Just need a little reassurance that it won't be too muddy.

Nice! Loving the truss rod cover. Haha. and you actually got inlays!! I can't stand blank fretboards. I guess they look cool but when I jam with the other guitarist in my band, and he asks "Am I playing it right?" I can never tell because there's no darn inlays. -_- Congrats, though! Haha

Yes, mahogany body and maple/koa stripe neck, and of course the maple top. As of right now, with the stock/standard tuning the clarity is great. I'm still dialing in a nice tone my X3 bean, but even without much in the line of EQ'in my patches, you can hear each string if you play a chord using all the strings. Since I want to tune it Drop E, I need to get a thicker low string since the stock one doesn't handle it too well, which was expected. So yeah, don't worry about yours; my opinion at least.

No bolt on that I know of. The construction and body/neck layout seems to be just one option.
