As some of you saw, I just purchased an S470DXQM two days ago. I said in that thread that this would be a 2-part week. Well here's the second part!

Quite the familiar looking case.

With quite a familiar looking logo.

With quite a familiar headstock.

BAM! RG2228!

808/Blackout combo.

Dat ass.

Maxwell gives the official inspection.

La familia de Ibanez!

Super pumped about this. I haven't owned an 8 in quite some time and I've had some serious GAS for the past couple months. The previous owner forgot to include the old 808, but he is sending it tomorrow. In which case I'll probably either sell that, or put that back in and sell the Blackout. So if there's any interest, PM me.

I should have a clip up soon.

but seriously, do yourself a favor and sell those 808s as fast as you can, imo they're really horrible pickups...

So far I'm not liking the Blackout or the 808. I want passives, but I hate that gigantic gap, and I hate pickup rings.

there isnt that large a gap with the Dactivators you should look into them

That's a 7321, actually. Just sanded down to the sealer.

As for the pickups, I'll probably go with the D-Activators anyways. I'm just not liking the combo I have in it now.

Just get the Lundgren M8's with the covers. Aren't those designed to fit guitars with EMG routes?

Unfortunately I don't have $500 to spend on pickups. And even if I did, I wouldn't.

Sweet score dude. Even though I don't play 8's or would have no purpose in owning one, I still would love to grab a 2228 one day.

That's what blew me away by mine. It beat Jackson's and Gibson's cases by a long shot. But that's just my opinion. It reminded me a lot of the Tayler T-5 case

Well I need some thicker strings before I can hit drop E, so I'm in Drop F right now. And even then, they're loose. Should be getting some new strings soon, though.
