First 8 string NGD!

My new Agile Septor 828!
I've only played 7's for 3 months or so and I just started to fully adjust to those, so this 8 is pretty crazy, but I can tell I'm going to love it. It's a beautiful guitar and I have no complaints about it except the lack of inlays and the pickups aren't too awesome for high gain (although I looooove the clean sounds!)

I recorded a couple shitty riffs I came up with in 5 minutes. Drop E tuning.

What does everyone recommend I learn? I've learned a couple After The Burial and Meshuggah riffs. Animals as Leaders is too intense for me haha.

Nice man. I'm not a huge fan of Agiles natural finishes but if you like it that's all that matters. I can guarantee your going to have an awesome guitar man! I'm loving mine so far!

Nice, I have a White Agile Septor Elite 827 with Blackouts. Love it. Congrats man, its one hell of a great guitar. Are you planning on swapping out those stock pickups for some BKPs? Do it up man!

Also idk about your preferences, but I changed the string gauges to .010, .013, .017, .026w, .036, .046, .062, .080. instead of the stock .009, .012, .015, .022, .030, .040, .054, .074, and it made a ridiculous difference. The sound and clarity, especially for the cleans is amazing. The low F#/E is feels awesome instead of floppy. I recommend looking into it

Nope. I thought that since UG doesn't see 8 string NGD's too often I would make it a bit more exciting. I got some lols out of it. You come here and there's $3000 customs everyday

And I learned part of whales, but that doesn't even use the 8th string. I also learned a couple riffs from Aspiration by After The Burial and a couple riffs from Combustion by Meshuggah.

BKP's are kind of expensive for me and I was actually really impressed with what I heard of the D-Activators 8's so I think I'm going to go for those. And that's the exact string gauges I'm planning on getting for this haha.

Yea I've heard good things about the D-Activators too, def post a clip when you get them. Thats awesome about the gauges. The way I get them is I buy a .010 and a .080 d'addario single string (from Daddy's Boston who actually has .080!!s thanks Ari) and then I buy the D'addario baritone lights for the middle. That's just my method though, they sounds great!

On second thought, I'll probably go for 10-59 with an 80. The 28 inch scale would probably make a B too tight for me with a 62.

Before, I didn't really like those, but now that I've seen a better picture and in that color, instant GAS. I will buy one of these over an intrepid any day now. Congrats on your guitar dude!

I liked the Intrepid more than the Septor until I got my Tribal purple Septor.

how long do these usually last and can you pay them back on your own time before 2012?

Agile Septor Elite Custom w/Case (Deposit for April 2012) at RondoMusic.com

love having the custom option, but not until April 2012?
kinda low on funds too. just got done paying off my new interface. Of course.

Sweet guitar man! I've had that bad boy on my to get list for quite sometime. Next guitar for sure, I love all white!
For stuff to jam with I've been playing a lot of Acacia Strain lately on my 8, its pretty fun stuff to learn..
