8 String Fretless Acoustic/Electric

Starts at $150; pretty cheap if you ask me. I had one of these before and it actually played well. I'm surprised to see another one. Don't have the cash to bid on this so I thought I'd post for you guys.

those tuners looks uber cheap but i think it would be an awesome guitar to have.

It's a Tennessee, EVERYTHING about it is "uber cheap".

It's one of those eBay brands like Galveston and Antonasi.

as cool as it is, I don't think I would touch it with a 10 foot pole, these brands are about as well put together as a chibanez.

I dont know why, but this guitar reminds me of the part on Metalocalypse where there was the Estaban guitar spoof (Sergio Panperio) and the commercial is pushing the fact that " you can stand on the guitar, you can actually STAND ON THE GUITAR". Then after that all of band wanted to buy it ROFL.

If it's REALLY burning a whole in your pocket, and you're great at doing your own acoustic set-ups (which can be a little more tricky/intensive than solidbody set-ups), and are ready to replace all the hardware, electronics, and possibly bridge saddle and nut. Then it's a great guitar to experiment with.

Though personally, I'd rather take my lady out to a really nice steakhouse.

I really want this guitar. Though I'm not too hot on it being a thinline guitar, or that shape. That, coupled with the fact it looks like it has a heavy plastic finish, might be a deal killer.

I play freltess guitar, and am actively in the market for a fretless acoustic.

yes.

it will have tuning stability problems due to cheap hardware, probably will have neck straightness issues (especially as the wood ages), likely to have plenty of other problems like intonation and string height that can't be corrected for via adjustments, etc, etc.

i had a cheap acoustic for about 5 years. it made me almost entirely stop playing acoustic.

yes, you can go *REALLY* wrong with a cheap/crappy instrument. and those tennessee brand ebay instruments are definitely cheap/crappy.
