The star and dot decorations around the body piss me off, but it's otherwise a cool instrument.

It would be nice if it could work as a Sitar AND guitar etc. Like a 10-string modeling instrument...

Hmm they have no problem making ten string single coils, but try to get a seven string single coil.

That thing actually looks pretty cool minus the sparkly shit thats stuck to it. I wonder how it's tuned.

He's the same builder who quoted me 2100 Euro for a 10 string solid body. Good builder.

Still working the details out with Garry for a 30.325" scale, but at first I was going to do a 28.625" with a modified Janet Marlowe tuning (http://www.tenstringguitar.com/10stringsforsale.html), high to low: e-b-g-d-a-e-b-F#-C#-G#, reintroducing the lowest 3 one octave higher than expected. However, my ultimate goal was to have single course tuning so we're planning on, low to high: C#-F#-B-E-A-D-G-B-E-A, or one half-step lower, whichever works with Garry's strings.

My plans are still in the works, but most likely I'll be going to luthier school and building them myself. That's a couple of years away, but by then the design should be good to go.

Need more details?
