Garry - after my experience with your .005's I'm definitely a convert.
I'd love to order a few of each of your available gages whenever they're ready.

The newest .005's are about 30,000 p.s.i. stronger than what you have. The gauges being wound are .005-.008.I hope they help in fullfilling everyone's ERG goals.
The .008 is tuned to G4 at 30" today.

Ten string guitar anyone? Dare I say eleven? Maybe fanned frets from 595 to 670 mm with a high D5?

Well Bostjan,
that's what started all of this.Trying to find strings for a 12-string with an 8 octave range. The more options we have, the easier it gets to have the perfect guitar for each of us.

I just tuned the .008 to A- flat 4 @30". The first thought is of a tight, inflexible wire, but it can be pushed 1/4" to either side. We'll see what the .008 does at 25.5".

So a 9-string @30"- E1 A1 D2 G2 C3 F3 B flat3 E flat4 A flat4 (.008)without fanned frets can exist.Maybe B0 will work at 30" for a 10.With fanning,there are a number of possiblities. A nine string tuned B1-D5 is possible with a fanned fretboard from 26"-23".

Isn't all this fun?
