![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Is anyone else using Sonar + DFH? This is my current setup. I'm not sure how to get a layout so that i know what each drum/cymbal is, and then be able to start making my loop. still very new to this, and really dunno what im doing *sigh* apparently if you let one of the samples play, then drag and drop into your EZD track, that's the length of that section of loop.. 3 cheers for free gear! ![]() | i am using DFH2 i don't l don't know if its the same for the first one any way, if you noticed when you click on each drum in that upper left tab "multi" where you load the library for the drum underneath "transpose" there is some plug icon if you click on it you can define the midi channel of that library. i loaded the librarys that i wanted and each got it own midi channel then i took the midi drum line that i have made and created for each drum it own channel. for kick drum it own track with it own midi channel for snare etc when i played the playback. maybe there is easier way to do it i don't know i didn't figure anything out yet but one tip it is easier to do all this copy past thing from the piano roll view than from staff view good luck figuring it all out |

![]() | that is because it only shows the current track events you can change that in the right window in the piano view (alt+5). if you want to see all the notes from all the tracks select all the midi tracks you want to see and view them in staff view(alt+7). tip: i like to write drums in drums clef it makes it all look much mode easier when it comes to drums just right click any where in staff view layout though it might be not enough useful notes in that cleff when it comes to maping all the notes. just try what works for you |

![]() | I have a similar problem, the old sonar I had v6 would go into a drum pane where it listed everything out and was really easy to write drum beats in, but now with v7 it stays in the piano roll pane. It's really annoying. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I don't know Sonar, so this might not hold true. But it sounds like you just need to download a drum map for it. Go to Sonar's forum (if there is one) and check on there. You might as well be suckin' Wes Borland's no-talent dick if you play with any more than six strings on your fucking guitar. |
