That said, while the beats are pretty simple, some of the fills are a bit complex. I "learned" how to play drums by playing a lot of stuff like the Stones, some indie rock stuff I don't know by name Colin's into, some Led Zep (same camp as the stones, lol), and the occasional bad attempt at a Smashing Pumpkins cover. ![]() EDIT - that's a fucking badass birthday present. ![]() "...and everything under the sun is in tune, but the sun is eclipsed by the moon." |

![]() | I don't play drums but I managed to pick up Roots Bloody Roots by Sepultura. It's got a grooving, tribal feel to it and it can be played with 8ths on the hats or with quarter notes on the crash, so it's a good beat to start getting some rhythmic variation in there. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Im probably going to get pounded, but if he digs thrash, metallica and justice for all... is a majority of easy. Some of the double kick parts will be alittle lost on him at the start, but at least he will try to play something above the boom chick crack chick stuff. And nice on the generosity man. ![]() |
