This might seem a bit out of place here but could i have some help
right i am trying to write an eclectic album and i was wondering if anyone could point me in th right direction to find some ideas for drum pattern for funk music

go get a greatest hits compilation of James Brown. He's got funk. His old drummers wrote the book on that stuff. Prince is good too - His drummer John Blackwell is amazing.... but James Brown is the original. Might as well start with his drummers.
