Double kicker kit ? affordable yet godly ? suggestions

I play double kickers, metal style and am in need of a cheap yet sharp sounding kit. My previous kits have been Tama and Sonor and I haven't had much range other than that. I also know shit all about drums. Suggestions ?

The basic range for most, if not all, major drum companies are really good right now. Hasn't always been that way in the past, may not be that way in the future, but now's a great time!

Tama and Pearl are great, PDP are supposed to be very good, also Yamaha... not as up on the latest Ludwig, Sonor, Slingerland models, so I can't say as well.

Overall, the best way is to get to a store that has kits and beat on 'em! That's how I decided on my Tamas!

Now, an extra kick is going to jump your cost up... have you considered going single kick/double pedal?

RonGriff is a jewel in the rough
I've always stood by Pearl. But it's all sound preferance, style of music, and hardware. I have a cymbal rack. some like separate stands.
