Fantastic drummer!
Andrea Vadrucci
He's had a video featured on ThatVideoSite recently and his hits have gone through the roof. There's a video of him playing drums to the Mario Bros. theme from level 1. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SZqwvjwqwK4 Here's a video of him giving the same awesome treatment to The Simpson's theme, with some extra bits from specific episodes. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PNpelsDXQrU But I wanted to mention something. It's clear that the guy can seriously play. He's got a pretty decent technique, he's precise, he's quick around the kit, he's inventive and musical. He's obviously borrowed liberally from Portnoy's "bag of tricks" for lots of his fills, and he has various kits, all with varying degrees of similarities to Portnoy's. He's obviously a Portnoy fan. He gets quite a panning from lots of idiots on YouTube saying he needs to get his own style. I think he has his own style, in buckets. Secondly, there are various clips of him playing DT songs. In some he plays to midi files and really nails the drums to them. Then, in some others - like his own version of the InstruMedley (which fucking rules!) - you can't hear his drums, only the full studio versions of the song parts he's playing to. He again gets quite a panning from people saying you can't hear his drums. But it's ludicrous. You have an amazing view of what he's doing; you can clearly see he's nailing the parts. And dare I say it, on some of the DT parts, he looks more comfortable and controlled than Portnoy does. Apart from his stick twirling and throwing, which he just plain sucks at haha.
"You might as well be suckin' Wes Borland's no-talent dick if you play with any more than six strings on your fucking guitar." - A Blabbermouth genius

He was pretty good. Nice to see someone that's got some vibe to their playing and really looks like they're loving what they do. There was a couple of the faster punky beats that he played where he didn't seem to quite nail it, wasn't that he was out or anything just didn't seem natural for him, but yeah definitely a skilled musician.

In fact, he says on his site that he plays in 3 bands. One called Cosmica, one called Wizard and an un-named DT covers band. |
