This guy is phenomenal, i've been talking to my drummer about him, we've seen nearly every video of him on youtube thus far.

Last I heard, he was with CAB (Tony MacAlpine and Bunny Brunell). I really like Virgil Donati alot but I think I like Dennis Chambers a little more.

Dennis Chambers is a huge influence on me. He just explodes! I love it.

Mmmm, I dunno. Don't get me wrong, he is absolutely amazing and I know there's probably virtually no-one out there that can do what he does, but I sometimes find him a little irrelevant. I think I prefer drummers like Virgil Donati who solo a little more within the context of an understandable groove, whereas Dennis Chambers is obviously feeling a groove but it's so far above everyone elses head that it just becomes intelligible. He blurs the line into pointless wank a little too much for me

he's played on gary willis's solo albums [the bass player from Tribal Tech, and their best songwriter]. and he did some great stuff in 97-98 in John McLaughlin's electric fusion band.
