Related to the thread on percussive techniques I started last night. Just getting some very twisted 5/4 rhythms going...soooooo much fun!!!!

I learned poly´s and odd timesignatures by programming them in flstudio and playing along.

I think any sort of experience dealing with percussion will improve your overall musicianship. My timing's really improved since I started experimenting with programming and percussion techniques on acoustic guitar.
