Oh yeah it does kind of look like that I never really made the connection. ESP certainly has a long history of copying guitars too, so it's all good. But yeah that would be cool in a 7.

PS: Check out this Christopher Amott model pic, I'd love this.

yeah I think Jackson japan also had that body shape too, I dunno who came out with it first, they never sold it in the US so until caparison came over ESP was the only one here...

that white amott is mega sexy, is it gloss? looks satin in that pic

That's a good question. I've been talking to Itaru (Caparison's head designer), he told me their paint job process is fairly unique, and he explained to me how the different paint jobs change the tone in different ways. It's hard to explain though, I'm just paraphrasing. It's not a satin finish, but it's not your average finish either.

I know the guitars with the "Pro" designation in the specs have that special kind of paint job. Supposedly it brings out more of the low mids of the wood than their standard paint job.

The best I can summarize it for you would be: it's more or less regular white but its not your standard gloss white guitar. I also believe it's thinner (on purpose, for tonal reasons - many luthiers have told me over the years that the less paint on the guitar the better the tone, that's why Michael Sherman prefers to only use natural stains and not paint).

I'm really digging this one also. Reasonably priced too.

If that ever changes and a full wing V is available again I want my Japanese hooker to have 2 Tats and frozen sky lipstick

You can PM me if this happens ... I will be waitng

Welcome to the family NIck, good to see it all got worked out for you. The CD-R images, just as a guide, are not all that representative of the colours in the flesh. You can expect some questions and queries regarding the in flesh vs photos for that reason, but good enough as a guide. Some are much better than others, some are way off the mark

Is that you Shane? If so, thank you so much for your help with this matter. I really appreciate it dude. You're awesome.

I can see what you mean about the CD-R images, but I feel like you could make that argument with any professional photos ala Jacksons, ESPs, etc. They're always touched up a bit right? Anyways, keep in touch dude. Thank you once again!

'tis me mate, no problem at all.

Yes and no on the touchups, not really touched up on Caparisons, they're just under a weird light actually, I'm not sure what it is about it. I think it's because the CD-R stuff you get is actually print ready, not straight off the cam, as it were. And with Caparison's finishes being so whack sometimes it's very hard to show them up.
Like the Iris Violet, for instance

That's missing massive amounts of the purple. Believe it or not, it's supposed to be representative of this finish
