The guitar will look like this, minus the inlays and pickups. Rob uses the standard sized Blackouts, so you can take advantage of active pickups in a universal pickup route:



$750 is due at the time of order, with the balance and shipping ($40 US, $120 most other countries) due at the time of completion. We're offering a 93 Day Build Guarantee on this: if your order isn't shipped 93 days after receiving your deposit, then you get $100 off your order.

Having said that, keep in mind that you have three months to come up with the rest of the cash. Don't place an order if you're not going to have $789 around when your guitar is done. We've had problems with a few guys bailing on us when their guitar is done, and this is the kind of behavior that really hurts a small builder.

Rob and I are still hashing out the details of how sales will be handled in the future. I know securing dealerships is a priority for both of us, and, unfortunately, this will drive up prices. If I can sell directly, and make just enough to cover my time and expenses, then we should be able to keep prices down. I care more about putting guitars into the hands of working musicians than turning a profit.

As a result of my new role, I will be changing how I post about the brand from this point forward. I don't want to come off as a shill for the brand, so I will be refraining from offering buying advice. Instead, I will take on a role more like Frank Falbo or Mike Sherman, answering questions and keeping the board up to date about new developments at KxK Guitars. Besides, I think there are enough fans of the guitars here to make recommendations without me having to.

I thank all the customers who took a chance on KxK, and we look forward to making more happy customers in the future. As Mike said, I got this point because I love playing Rob's instruments, and I will continue to make sure that the interests of all seven stringers are addressed in the future.
