I ordered mine a few days ago. Thanks for the help Dave ! I went with the carved top, I think its gonna look sick.

I did have a couple questions some other guys on the forum might want to know aswell. This may or may not have been asked already.

1. Being that the guitar is mostly Maple do you find your SII-7 to have a naturally bright tone or does the neck through string through design end up making the guitar kinda of somewhere in the middle tone wise.

2.Is the neck thin like the older ibanez wizard necks, are they thick like a schecter or somehwere in between?

Mine is actually not as bright as I would expect it to be. It has plenty of attack, but it still has a nice midrange girth to it as well. Actually, it is tonally very similar to Mike's CS Jackson Soloist.

On both the prototype and TMM's guitar (the two I've had a chance to play), the neck is just a little bit thicker than the old Wizard-7 on the Ibanez 7620 and 7420, and thinner than the current generation of Ibanez 7-string necks.

I ordered mine to be slight thicker than that, and when I get it on Tuesday, I'll obviously be posting guitar porn, comments, etc.
